Question 1

What is LLAIE™?

Accepted Answer

LLAIE™ (Lund Lumber AI Estimator) is an AI-powered software platform that helps lumber companies and home builders automate lumber takeoffs, generate precise material lists from blueprints, compare supplier bids, and send professional quotes — all in minutes.

Question 2

How does AI lumber takeoff work?

Accepted Answer

Users upload blueprint PDFs or plan files to LLAIE™. The AI reads the architectural drawings, identifies framing details, dimensions, and building elements, then automatically generates a complete lumber and material quantity list — including studs, plates, headers, sheathing, beams, and hardware.

Question 3

Who is LLAIE™ designed for?

Accepted Answer

LLAIE™ serves two audiences: (1) Lumber companies and building material suppliers who want to bid jobs faster and more accurately; and (2) Home builders and general contractors who want to receive and compare lumber quotes from multiple suppliers to find the best price.

Question 4

Can I compare bids from multiple lumber suppliers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. LLAIE™ includes a Bid Comparison feature that lets builders upload a plan once and receive competing quotes from multiple lumber companies side-by-side — similar to how Expedia aggregates travel prices, but for building materials.

Question 5

Does LLAIE™ integrate with JobTread?

Accepted Answer

Yes. LLAIE™ has a JobTread integration that allows users to sync project data, import actual costs, and export estimates directly to JobTread budgets for streamlined project management.

Question 6

What types of lumber materials does LLAIE™ estimate?

Accepted Answer

LLAIE™ estimates all standard framing materials including studs (2x4, 2x6), wall and roof plates, ceiling joists, rafters, LVL beams, ridge boards, wall and roof sheathing (OSB, plywood, ZIP System), hardware, fascia, siding, and trim — organized by category.
